2001 Barmes-Buecher Riesling Hengst Alsace - Petrol and slight burnt sugar nose. Bright green apple tartness. Pleasant but nothing special. 2-3
2000 Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Brand Alsace - Sugar and green apples. Slightly effervescent. A bit of sweetness on finish. Sugary with food. This was declared the wine of the flight. 4-6
1997 Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Rangen de Thann - Sugar. Biting acids. Slightly efferevescent. Really dry in comparison to others. Too young to drink. Hard mineral aspect. 2nd place (close to a tie) 4-6
1996 Trimbach Riesling Cuvee M (Mandelburg) - Apricots and cream on nose with light caramel. On its way out. Thin and hard. Slightly bitter finish. Salty finish. Not my style. 1
1993 Domaine Weinbach Riesling Cuvee Ste. Catherine II Alsace - Caramel. Yum. Meaty. Slightly Bitter Finish. 2

2002 Erich Salomon Riesling Kogl Kremstal - Fruit nose. Dry. Slightly malo center notes. Slight dry minerally, green apple. Thin. Over-ripe finish. Jack: just not liking. 0
2001 Thanisch Bernkasteler Doctor Riesling Kabinett Goldkapsel MSR - Effervescent sweet center. Ripe pear on finish. Really sweet center. The 2nd favorite of the flight. 2-3
2001 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Leistenberg Riesling Kabinett Nahe - Dry. Really shines with food. Sweet finish. Slightly bright but clean acids.Really balanced. Liked but not nuts about. 3

NV Getariako Txakolina Amesztoi Txakoli - Really hard. Tart. Acidic. Hard to get past the minerals. Slightly malo. 0

2001 Dönnhoff Norheimer Kirschheck Riesling Spätlese Nahe - Hard. Burnt sugar. Almost chicken sausage. Seems like it’s in a dumb stage. Really great with the flounder. Named wine of the flight. 1-2
2001 Schloss Johanissberger Grunlack Riesling Spätlese Rheingau - Sweeter. Sugar nose. Meady. Really dry finish. 0-1
1999 Toni Jost Bacharacher Hahn Riesling Spätlese Mittelrhein - Honey and minerals on nose. Hard finish. Sweet and burnt green apple on finish. 2

1993 Jakob Gerhardt Dienheimer Kreuz Ehrenfelser BA Rheinhessen - Some residual sugar. Almost a mushroomy finish. Roasted apples. 1-3
