Violets and roses on nose. Hard, violet-y fruit, in center. Light finish.

Shoe polish on nose. Burnt squash or toast on center. Very burnt flavor.

Slightly sweet nose. Sweet fruity center. Light raspberry finish. Drink now.

Raspberry jam and warm animal on nose. Lean center with a slightly thin finish.

Spicy meaty nose. Bright iron-y center. Long bloody finish. Perhaps slightly light.

Meaty tannic center. Dry and tight. Good fruit. A baby.

Closed, hard fruit. Very tight. Slightly bitter dry finish. Hard to judge.

Fresh bread with honey on nose. Wild yellow pollen-y center with minerals. Reminds me of caramel and limestone. A lot of oak. Long finish. Very stand-out.

Coffee like center with some black raspberry jam. Bright acids on finish.

Nose of yeast and yellow pear, bright acidic center, with a creamy finish.

Fruity nose. Jammy and soft almost chalky center. Wood on finish. Good fruit.

Burnt rubber on nose. Peppery and oaky center. Oak shows on finish. Good structure otherwise.

Charcoal and rubber on nose. Bright acidic red fruit and rubber on center. Slightly medicinal finish. Don’t like.

Ripe banana with banana and pineapple center. Clean good finish. Really very banana-y.

Milk chocolate on nose. Blueberries underlying. Harder fruit and thin center.

Nose of summer squash and minerals. Yellow squash in the center with a hint of butter. Good acids, clean finish.

Spicy center of coriander. Fresh and good.

Cherry and vanilla on nose. Very alcoholic cherry cola center. Big but tasty. Wood and alcohol shows on finish. (Not a wine for long-term aging. - Jack)

Crushed berries and hint of spice on nose. A surprising spicy center with good balance. Very nice.

Tea-like nose. Eucalyptus and blood on nose. Thick gamey center. Very meaty. Good finish. Still kicking. (Jack loved.)

Flowers and fruit with underlying element of herbs on nose. Forest-y earthy center a hint of wood and wood smoke/fire on finish.

Shale and berries on nose. Thick black raspberry. Tannic center. Jammy center. Slightly closed.

Sweet jammy nose. Vanilla, oak and strawberry ham. Very fruity and jammy.

1985 Domaine de Trevallon Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence Les Baux
Pomegranate and blood on nose. Fruity and meaty center. With a bit of medicinal element. Really good.

1998 Williams-Selyem Pinot Noir Riverblock
Very irony nose. Bright irony animally center. Good. Slightly spicy fruit on finish but elegant.
