The Barbaresco and the Burgundies really stood out.

Violets and roses on nose. Hard, violet-y fruit, in center. Light finish.
1992 Domaine d’Auvenay Puligny Folatieres
Shoe polish on nose. Burnt squash or toast on center. Very burnt flavor.
1998 Barbour Cabernet Sauvignon
Slightly sweet nose. Sweet fruity center. Light raspberry finish. Drink now.
1995 Beringer Merlot Bancroft Ranch
Raspberry jam and warm animal on nose. Lean center with a slightly thin finish.
1996 Château Ducru Beaucaillou
Spicy meaty nose. Bright iron-y center. Long bloody finish. Perhaps slightly light.
1996 Château Haut Brion
Meaty tannic center. Dry and tight. Good fruit. A baby.
1988 Château Latour
Bloody herbal nose. Bright grassy center. Short finish. Drink now.
1999 Château Leoville Las Cases
Closed, hard fruit. Very tight. Slightly bitter dry finish. Hard to judge.
1998 Château Margaux
Venison and juniper berries on nose. Thick fruity center. Slightly tannic finish. Needs time.
1988 Coche Dury Meursault Rougeots
Fresh bread with honey on nose. Wild yellow pollen-y center with minerals. Reminds me of caramel and limestone. A lot of oak. Long finish. Very stand-out. 
2002 Colgin 'Cariad Red'
Coffee like center with some black raspberry jam. Bright acids on finish.
1993 De Venoge Champagne Grand Vin des Princes
Nose of yeast and yellow pear, bright acidic center, with a creamy finish.
2000 Dujac Bonnes Mares
Fruity nose. Jammy and soft almost chalky center. Wood on finish. Good fruit.
2004 Dujac Bonnes Mares
Burnt rubber on nose. Peppery and oaky center. Oak shows on finish. Good structure otherwise.
1999 Dunn Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain
Charcoal and rubber on nose. Bright acidic red fruit and rubber on center. Slightly medicinal finish. Don’t like.
1998 Louis Latour Corton Charlemagne
Ripe banana with banana and pineapple center. Clean good finish. Really very banana-y.
1999 Louis Latour Corton Grancey
Milk chocolate on nose. Blueberries underlying. Harder fruit and thin center.
1999 Louis Latour Meursault Blagny
Nose of summer squash and minerals. Yellow squash in the center with a hint of butter. Good acids, clean finish.
2001 Louis Latour Beaune Vignes Franches
Spicy center of coriander. Fresh and good.
1993 G. Lignier Chambolle Musigny
Stinky, bloody nose. Hard irony center. Good structure. Very irony center.
2002 Marquis Philips Shiraz Integrity
Cherry and vanilla on nose. Very alcoholic cherry cola center. Big but tasty. Wood and alcohol shows on finish. (Not a wine for long-term aging. - Jack)
1998 Mount Langhi Ghiran Shiraz
Crushed berries and hint of spice on nose. A surprising spicy center with good balance. Very nice.
1971 J. Prieur Chambertin
Tea-like nose. Eucalyptus and blood on nose. Thick gamey center. Very meaty. Good finish. Still kicking. (Jack loved.)
1997 Domaine de la Romanee Conti (DRC) Echezeaux
Flowers and fruit with underlying element of herbs on nose. Forest-y earthy center a hint of wood and wood smoke/fire on finish.
1998 La Spinetta (G. Rivetti) Barbaresco Vursu Vigneto Starderi
Shale and berries on nose. Thick black raspberry. Tannic center. Jammy center. Slightly closed.
2001 Torbreck Shiraz 'Run Rig'
Sweet jammy nose. Vanilla, oak and strawberry ham. Very fruity and jammy.
1985 Domaine de Trevallon Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence Les Baux
Pomegranate and blood on nose. Fruity and meaty center. With a bit of medicinal element. Really good.
1998 Williams-Selyem Pinot Noir Riverblock
Very irony nose. Bright irony animally center. Good. Slightly spicy fruit on finish but elegant.
