Don’t like as well as Muirfield. 2002 Siduri Rosella’s Vineyard Pinot Noir Very hot. Oaky and wood. Medium body. Bitter finish. 2003 Siduri Garys’ Vineyard Pinot Noir Very bitter. Hot. Thin and weak with searing acids. 2003 Siduri Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir Most Burgundian of those tasted. Still too hot for me. 2004 Siduri Lewis Vineyard Pinot Noir (in barrel) Bacon on nose. Really smokey. Very acidic. Sweet and sweet finish. The vineyard is near Starr Road. 2004 Novy Van der Kamp Vineyard Pinot Meunier (in barrel) Grapefruit and Hazelnuts on nose. Fruit punch nose. Finish too smooth. Puckering. Creamy.

Not showing much. 1998 Joseph Swan Steiner Vineyard Sonoma Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon Wow. Turkey wine. Sage, herbs. Spicy and meaty. Really good! 2004 Joseph Swan Trenton Estate Syrah (in barrel) Very blackberry. High alcohol. Bitter finish.

2004 Christopher Creek Russian River Petite Sirah (in barrel) Hot! Vanilla and cassis. Good tannins. Perfumey with chicken sausage.
2003 Christopher Creek Estate Russian River Syrah 14.4%. Very accessible. Syrah-like. Vanilla Cherry cream. Likeable but maybe too creamy?
2001 Christopher Creek Russian River Zinfandel Stinky nose. Tannic biting acids. Bitter finish. Not that appealing.
2002 Christopher Creek Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel High acid. Hot but pretty integrated with fruit. Red berries. Pretty good.
2003 Christopher Creek Finlay’s Vineyard Dry Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Very cherry. Can’t identify it’s Cab. Slight grassy undertones. Acidic finish.

2002 Limerick Lane Collins Vineyard Syrah Jack: enh. Not an attractive wine. More tannic and bitter – burnt cherries. 1999 Limerick Lane Collins Vineyard Zinfandel Very oaky and vanilla-y. Hot and sweet. Ja: didn’t seem zinfandel-like – just wine. 2001 Limerick Lane Old Vine Zinfandel Slight oak on nose. More integrated than 1999. Brighter, tart red cherries. Tasty. Jack: Dried cherries. Almost a thin wine.
2002 Limerick Lane Collins Vineyard Zinfandel Acids! This is a food wine? Thin on fruit. Jack: Almost like the other wines tasted aren’t fresh. This one is. The other wines are wimpy. 1999 Limerick Lane 1023 Syrah/Zinfandel Vanilla Cherry 1 st note. Chewy center. Spicey. Jack: Doesn’t appeal to me but could see it appealing to others maybe most of all the wines we tasted here. 1999 Limerick Lane 1023 Syrah/Zinfandel (in barrel) Port Salut/soft cheese nose. Very cherry with cheese (cheesecake?) creamy. Not to my taste. Jack: Bright red fruits.

Thin oaky finish. 2004 Christie Estate Russian River Merlot (in barrel) Jack: Most tannins of anything tasted today. Pretty balanced- sweet finish. 2004 Christie Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (in barrel) Stinky. Sweet center. Bitter – but integrated. Jack: Easily best wine here.

Strange component – don’t know what it is. 2000 Meitz Sonoma County Merlot Roasted figs with thyme. Great acids. Goat cheese tannic finish. 2001 Meitz Sonoma County Merlot Very acidic. Fruit punch nose. Goat cheese finish Fruit really integrated. Not as exciting as 2000. 2000 Meitz Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Thyme! Sausages. Lamb. Yum! 2001 Meitz Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon Thinner than 2000. Good acids. Still has goat cheese finish. 2004 Meitz Sonoma County? Cabernet Sauvignon (in barrel) Balanced. Fig on finish. Not that distinctive. A bit tannic. 2004 Meitz Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel (in barrel) I get herbs slightly on finish. Vanilla-y. Thin center. Finish too hot.
