Review 2004 - Joanne

Spanish gourmet foods importer

We ordered:

Almond Sprinkled Dessert Crisps
Hand Made in Sevilla
Size:5 crisps - 7.6oz/200g
$4.50 / #CO-03

Great! Although Whole Foods Santa Rosa now carries a similar product which is easier for me to get. They resemble a cooked papadum in shape but thicker with multiple layers and of course slightly sweet. But not too rich or sweet. Great with a cup of tea or coffee. I’m addicted. They are individually wrapped in waxed paper. We have currently have 2 boxes in the pantry.

'Reserva' Sliced Serrano Ham
From Spain - 18 Month Cure

Thin slices of Redondo Iglesias Jamon
Size:1/2 lb - 225g (16-20 slices)
$12.95 / #JM-01

We also ordered a cheaper Ham – big mistake. If you order this is the one to get. Nice flavor to enjoy on it’s own as Jack did when he consumed the whole package in one sitting.

'Señorío de Vizcántar' (D.O.)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Award Winning from Priego de Córdoba
Size:0.65 Gallon/2.5 Liter
$34.00 / #OO-26

This was a great surprise. I’m using it for cooking but it has fantastic green olivey flavor and is great on it’s own. Not the very best I’ve had but good value.

Ventresca Tuna
Premium Belly Fillets in Olive Oil

From Line Caught Bonito Tuna
Size:4oz/110g Tin
$12.50 / #SE-21

Tastes like good quality tuna.

Gazpacho - All Natural
Extra Large

All Natural
Size:34 fl.oz/1 Liter
$7.95 / #SU-06

Okay. We like a chunkier style. Wouldn't buy again.

Privat Laieta Organic Cava
Reserva Brut Nature

Premium Dry Sparkling Wine
$19.99 / #WN-43

Ugh and ick. Not even that drinkable with Orange Juice.

6 Inch Cazuela
Terra Cotta Dish

lead-free, oven safe
Capacity: 8 oz/ 1 cup
$5.95 / #CA-01

I ordered 2 of these and some of the larger cazuelas to use in our pizza oven. They are bit more roughly made than the ones I already have but look sturdy and functional.
